At Four Point Kennels, our mission is to breed and raise high-quality hunting dogs for dedicated and responsible hunting homes. We do not sell to pet only households, as our breeding program is specifically focused on preserving and enhancing the hunting capabilities and temperament of our dogs.
We accept a limited number of applications for each planned litter to ensure that every puppy is thoughtfully matched to a suitable home. Once your application is approved, we will stay in touch throughout the breeding process. This includes updates about the planned pairing and confirmation of pregnancy through ultrasound, typically performed about 30 days after breeding.
During the pregnancy and throughout the 8 to 9 weeks the puppies are in our care, we provide regular updates either via email or through our official Four Point Kennels Facebook page. We take an active role in helping each buyer select the puppy that best matches their lifestyle, hunting goals, and temperament preferences.
All puppies are microchipped, dewormed, and receive their first round of vaccinations before going to their new homes. Each puppy is also evaluated for conformation and temperament to ensure they meet the standards we expect from our breeding program.
We register each puppy with the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) at our expense. As the Small Munsterlander Club of America (SMCA) transitioned to AKC registration, our breeding dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC), however we do not register our pups with them.
We are proud to offer one of the strongest guarantees in the industry: a six-year health guarantee against heritable conditions or hip issues that render the dog physically unable to function as a hunting companion. This reflects the confidence we have in our breeding program and the genetic planning behind every litter.
All breedings are carefully selected and genetically evaluated with the goal of improving the breed and strengthening our lines. We sell only to responsible owners and utilize the NAVHDA “Breeding Restriction” registration to help protect the integrity of the breed. Additionally, Four Point Kennels retains the first right of refusal on every puppy we place. If an owner can no longer care for their dog at any point in its life, we require that the dog be returned to us or that we are consulted before any rehoming occurs. Refunds for returned dogs are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the dog’s age and condition.
Puppies at Four Point Kennels are raised in a hands-on environment and exposed to a wide range of experiences before they ever leave our home. They interact regularly with people of all ages, other dogs, and household pets. They are introduced to water, birds, crates, and even the sound of gunfire to help ensure a smooth transition into their future hunting roles.
Our puppies are typically ready to go to their new homes between 8 and 9 weeks of age. However, if we are retaining a puppy for our breeding program, we may hold certain puppies longer as needed.
The purchase price of our puppies varies based on several factors, including the hunting accomplishments of the sire and dam, the method of breeding (whether natural cover or artificial insemination), and associated costs such as stud fees or semen importation.
Included in the purchase price is our six-year health guarantee and lifelong support and training guidance from Four Point Kennels. To join our waitlist, we do require a deposit, which is equal to one third of the total purchase price. This deposit secures your place in line for an upcoming litter and is applied toward the final cost of the puppy. The purchase price of our puppies range from $3000 to $3300, depending on the litter. The remaining balance must be paid in full at the time of pickup or prior to shipping. If a puppy needs to remain with us beyond 10 weeks of age, additional boarding fees may apply. Shipping costs, if applicable, are the responsibility of the buyer,
If you have questions about our breeding program, available litters, or the application process, we encourage you to reach out.
